The CDL\u2019s first off season has not been without significant controversy. Just days after winning the first CDL Championships, Dallas Empire parted ways with Clayster, while Dashy has undergone a switch from OpTic Gaming LA to Chicago Huntsmen. While aspects of the ongoing CDL rostermania remain unclear, teams are beginning to fall into shape ahead of the release of Black Ops Cold War. One team that has not yet taken shape, though, is OpTic Gaming Los Angeles. After a disappointing first season, rumors have swirled over the future of the organization, with reports stating that former OpTic CEO H3CZ has reacquired the company. This has, understandably, shrouded the organization in uncertainty, with questions arising over H3CZ\u2019s concurrent involvement in the Chicago Huntsmen and its parent company, NRG. During an October 2 live stream of Hitch\u2019s throwback MW2 tournament \u2013 which Slasher\u2019s team would go on to win \u2013 he explained how the uncertainty is affecting his ability to build a roster. \u201cNo clue bro,\u201d he responded, when asked what the situation with OpTic was. \u201cI just hope whatever\u2019s happening can hurry up so I can construct a team. Because I\u2019m four weeks late in Rostermania \u2013 haven\u2019t been able to build a team. Which is actually f**king wonderful bro(!)\u201d He finishes: \u201cA lot of my top picks are gone now, because it\u2019s four weeks late but you know?\u201d The delays have given other teams time to pick up the top talent in world Call of Duty, while SlasheR and OpTic have been sat on their hands because of the organization\u2019s reported buyout.
