Cellium was awarded ‘most-valuable player’, but the numbers could tell a different story. CDL Atlanta drew in huge numbers from a spectator perspective. Over 2.1 million cumulative views were garnered on the Call of Duty League’s stream across both days. While certain moments from CDL Atlanta may resonate with spectators, the statistics from the event paint a much more vivid picture of who was the most consistent across the whole event. Overall K/D ratio is a metric used by plenty to determine how well players handled gunfights on the whole, giving a rough estimate for player success. However, this is incredibly biased towards AR Slayers, whose main responsibility is to rack up as many kills as possible. Royal Ravens’ main AR, wuskin, tops the overall leaderboard yet again, with an impressive 1.38 K/D ratio. What’s more impressive, however, is that FaZe’s youngster, Cellium, was right behind him. Being a Flex player, Cellium often changes his playstyle to suit the needs of his team, so a 1.32 K/D is a notable feat — especially considering that he played more matches overall. CDL Atlanta: Hardpoint The story remains much the same for Hardpoint, where both wuskin and Cellium take prime spots. While Cellium’s hill time was on the lower end of things, the 19-year-old won over 57% of his total engagements, posting 188 kills for his team (the most on the squad by a considerable margin). Cellium’s kill tally isn’t a patch on Mutineers’ Skyz, however, who posted a mammoth 233 kills with a 1.23 K/D – albeit with three more Hardpoint games played – while also bagging the most kills for the whole event with 382. Not only did he net the highest S&D K/D ratio (1.82), but the Brit also boasted 1.07 kills per round — edging out Royal Ravens’ Skrapz, who clocked 1.06 kills per round. Perhaps what’s most interesting is that aBeZy managed to win 13 opening duels (the most on the weekend) while also bagging himself the fifth-highest K/D of the weekend. Unanswered first bloods are imperative in S&D, as they force the opposition to change their strategy on the fly. So aBeZy’s influence on FaZe’s S&D success is not to be discounted by being fifth in the K/D standings. Top 5 Search & Destroy K/D ratios Ben ‘Bance’ Bance – 1.82 – Matthew ‘Skrapz’ Marshall – 1.67 – Adam ‘GodRx’ Brown – 1.44 – Anthony ‘Methodz’ Zinni – 1.31 – Tyler ‘aBeZy’ Pharris – 1.24 – CDL Atlanta: Domination When it comes to Domination, Simp appears to have that on lockdown. His knowledge of spawns and rotations helped him clock the highest K/D (1.46) of the event, while he also clocked in with an average of 6.5 captures per game — this was only bested by three other players in the whole event. However, Cellium makes yet another appearance in the standings for a respawn game mode with a 1.35 K/D. Although there is one aspect of the FaZe star’s gameplay that stats don’t show, and that is his ability to control the lanes and lockdown major choke-points on the map. Couple this with the Tiny Terrors racing towards teams at 100 miles-per-hour and its no wonder why FaZe were a force to be reckoned with in Domination all weekend long. The Atlanta FaZe Flex player put up K/D numbers that rivaled other team’s main AR players while also doing the dirty work around the objective. The only player who could come remotely close to taking the MVP award for the event would have been aBeZy, especially considering his incredible S&D performance. However, after aBeZy struggled in Hardpoint all weekend, Cellium rightfully earned his home series MVP award.
