That has been the case with Warzone Season 1 Reloaded too, with assault rifles, SMGs, and LMGs all being changed in a pretty big way. SMGs went under the knife in a big way with the ISO 9MM being nerfed and the Rival-9 benefiting from some buffs. The controversial WSP Swarm was nerfed a few days after the big seasonal update, prompting players to switch to other SMGs. One of the early popular picks was the AMR9, but there are other options out there. However, it also benefits from the introduction of the JAK BFB Muzzle, which massively nerfs any recoil.
