OpTic Gaming have always been regarded as a championship caliber team in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 since their win at the first event of the season, CWL Las Vegas. The fan favorite squad found themselves finishing in 3rd place at CWL Anaheim after falling to GenG in the Loser\u2019s Bracket Finals, and three time World Champion, Karma, later sparked rumors of a potential role swap after claiming that the team might have performed better if teammate Scump was to run an assault rifle. One of the young players, added to the roster for the BO4 season, TJHaly, recently addressed the role swap rumors involving Scump after being asked by one of his viewers, saying, \u201cIs Seth playing Maddox now? Nah he\u2019s probably not, I don\u2019t know what we\u2019re doing.\u201d He followed by explaining that they would be likely to keep their current roles and that he feels working on Hardpoint set-ups is their biggest weakness, adding, \u201cWe\u2019re probably going to keep the same shit, we just don\u2019t know how to hold a spawn because everyone wants to run at the hill.\u201d Scump has been playing the SMG slayer role for almost the entire season (and career), the only exception being the first two weeks of the CWL Pro League, during which he ran the Maddox at times to accommodate FaZe Clan\u2019s Tommy \u2018ZooMaa\u2019 Paparatto subbing in for Brandon \u2018Dashy\u2019 Otell. OpTic Gaming still remain to be the only team inside the CWL Pro League not to have made a proper roster change from the start of the year following the recent departure of Sukry from Heretics, as they have been looking inwards to fix the team\u2019s issues.
