The gardening game, spawned out of the likes of Farming Simulator, overtook the Call of Duty giant on Twitch \u2014 if only for a brief moment last month. Warzone\u2019s average viewer count for the day was at 64,144 viewers. However, Lawn Mowing Simulator peaked at nearly 70,000 \u2014 68,940 \u2014 leading to an instance where Warzone was trailing behind the sim game. One screenshot, shared by Lawn Mowing Simulator\u2019s developers Skyhook Games, shows their title blow Warzone out of the water 66.8k viewers to 53.5k. \u201cIf you\u2019d told us six months ago that Lawn Mowing Simulator would have touched the hearts and minds of our fellow lawn lovers like this, we\u2019re not sure we\u2019d have believed you,\u201d the game\u2019s developers said in a blog post. \u201cWhile we had unshakeable faith in the game and our fabulous team from the off, we can\u2019t help but admit that the incredible response to our love-letter to British lawn-cutting has blown us away.\u201d Lawn Mowing Simulator overtook Warzone thanks to the likes of Saqib \u2018LIRIK\u2019 Zahid, Felix \u2018xQc\u2019 Lengyel, Josh \u2018JoshOG\u2019 Beaver, and even Scottish comedian Brian \u2018Limmy\u2019 Limond streaming the title. xQc\u2019s stream alone peaked at 68,649 viewers, making up 99.58% of Lawn Mowing Simulator\u2019s watchers at its peak. \u201cIs this a f*cking joke? Across August 2021, Warzone\u2019s average viewer count on Twitch has dropped by around 15%. It used to be consistently above 100,000 viewers, but now sits around 80,000 excluding weekends and tournaments.
