The most recent mid-season update for Call of Duty: Warzone unleashed a brand-new public event, Night Vision Gulag. This “special occurrence” switches off all the lights in the Gulag, heightening the tension in an already tense environment. There’s just one problem, though, this particular version of the Gulag appears to be a bit too dark. But that much should hardly come as a surprise to some. After all, Warzone players have been asking developers to adjust the visibility since the Urzikstan map went live. Unfortunately, the requested changes didn’t arrive in time for the currently running Nigh Vision-themed event. Warzone players call out NVG Gulag for making things worse Reddit user Paulrevere1188 sarcastically captioned a gameplay clip with the following text, “NVG Gulag Has Great Visibility….” The video shows the player instantly getting gunned down at the start of a match due to poor visibility. Naturally, the Redditor asked, “Whose idea was this?” Responses to the thread indicate the original poster is not the only one having trouble seeing clearly in the new Call of Duty event. One Warzone player replied, “This is why we need an experimental playlist for Warzone, so we can catch dogsh** ideas like this before they make it into the rest of the game.” Another person questioned why the development team’s response to user complaints about bad lighting in the Gulag revolved around introducing NVG Gulag, which only exacerbates the issue. Someone else said Warzone devs must be “f***ing with us…” Meanwhile, others seem to think it’s a trend as the experience arguably gets worse as time goes on. “I am convinced we are living in the matrix… Every problem becomes exponentially worse over time,” reads one such comment. The hope is that a fix will eventually be deployed that tackles Warzone’s long-running visibility and lighting issues. For now, though, it doesn’t seem as if players are willing to hold their breaths while waiting for such an outcome.

Warzone players slam NVG Gulag’s poor visibility amid ongoing darkness issues Activision BlizzardWarzone players call out the new NVG Gulag event’s terrible visibility, especially since darkness has been an issue in the Gulag for a while.
