When Warzone first launched as a part of Modern Warfare (2019), the battle royale only used weapons and pieces of equipment from that title. Over time, however, that has changed. As the battle royale has spanned across multiple Call of Duty releases, it’s become an amalgamation of different titles. Weapons, equipment, and even perks from at least two different games end up mixing and that, naturally, causes a fair bit of frustration for players. That has been the case in Modern Warfare 3’s update as well, with popular weapons from Modern Warfare 2 being called “unusable” as they haven’t been adjusted for the new health values and gameplay changes in the newer game. Warzone fans annoyed “awful” MW2 weapons are still in ground loot Some of the MW2 weapons were buffed in the recent Season 1 Reloaded update, however, fans still aren’t satisfied. While some fans would like to see them removed altogether, others just want them taken out of the ground loot pool. “It’s been clear since the launch of MW3 that the MW2 weapons don’t match up great against the MW3 weapon lineup. In fact, it’s been blatantly apparent that for the most part, you are at a decent disadvantage if you use them,” complained one fan who has led the calls for their removal. “Every chest is damn near a sniper or a shotgun. It’s awful,” added one fan. “Agreed. Seems like “carry forward” wasn’t really that at all, unless we are talking about cosmetics,” another said. “Very good point. Having to use MW2 guns for ground loot is punishment,” agreed another. Some fans suggested buffing them to be on a level playing field with the MW3 guns, while others would like to see the MW2 weapons just confined to their own limited-time mode. “Buff them to make them as good as Modern Warfare III guns and then increase the base health to 250 for Solos modes,” suggested one. Seeing as the devs have given the MW2 guns some changes, they won’t be ignoring them going forward. Though, it’s unlikely they’ll ever be on a par with the MW3 weapons.

Warzone players sick of being ‘punished’ for using MW2 weapons in Urzikstan ActivisionWarzone players are increasing calls to have weapons from Modern Warfare 2 removed from the battle royale as ground loot with many of them calling the guns “awful” in their current state.
