Whenever a new seasonal update for Call of Duty comes around, the devs typically add at least one new weapon to the mix. That has again been the case in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 1, with the Ram-7, Stormender, XRK Stalker, HRM-9, and TAQ Evolvere all being added as new options. When it comes to Warzone, the Ram-7 and HRM-9 have quickly become part of the meta. Players have especially been hyping up the Ram because of how much it reminds them of the Verdansk days, balancing deadly assault rifle power with the swift mobility of using an SMG. However, it hasn’t been smooth sailing for all of the new guns. In the case of the XRK Stalker, some players absolutely love its speed and power in multiplayer, but others claim it is ‘unusable’ in Warzone. Warzone players divided on XRK Stalker sniper That’s right, players are a bit split on whether or not the newest sniper is actually any good when it comes to the battle royale, and those who believe it’s not a good option aren’t best pleased with the devs. “I don’t get these dev companies. Brand new sniper and it literally isn’t even usable unless you are trying to self-handicap with a bolt action sniper that doesn’t 1 shot,” complained one player. “Are we really going to have 1 mediocre sniper rifle that works? Other than the very niche MW2 snipers that only work with explosive rounds so you can’t snipe past like 50m.” “Make all bolt actions one shot, and adjust their ability to ADS quickly/bullet drop/velocity etc accordingly to make each one a bit unique,” agreed one player. “Just want WZ1 sniping. Nothing more, nothing less,” another added. Some, though, called it a “good” option right now. “Low-key would rather a new gun be released and be useless than it have a 50% faster TTK than anything else in the game like new guns typically are like,” argued one. “Probably my favorite sniper in MP tbh. Feels like almost zero hit markers and way faster handling than the Katt,” added another. When Season 2 rolls around, it could be a weapon that the devs revisit for changes, especially if there are increased calls for a buff. Though, we’ll have to wait and see.

Warzone players split over ‘unusable’ sniper that has only just been added ActivisionCall of Duty players have been left split over the newest sniper to be added to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone – the XRK Stalker – as some believe it is ‘unusable’ right now.
