The nuke has been in Call of Duty in some capacity since the original Modern Warfare 2 in 2009. Back then, a 25 killstreak would earn you a Tactical Nuke, allowing you to end the game, wipe out the enemy team, and earn the win. It has come and gone in many variations since then, but with Warzone being a battle royale game rather than a regular multiplayer COD, developers Raven Software had to find a new way to implement the nuke for a completely different style of game. The result was the Champion’s Quest, with players having to win 5 consecutive matches before they could drop in again, hunt down three nuclear cores of a radioactive element, then defend the site of the nuke while fending off opponents. Repullze says Warzone nuke “too easy” The Champion’s Quest was re-implemented to Urzikstan in the Season 1 Reloaded update, with a new completion challenge. Now, if players in 30 matches in a single season, they will be eligible to complete the Champion’s Quest — but Warzone stars Repullze and Ebatez think it’s “too easy.” On the Pullze Check podcast, joined by top Warzone pro Fifakill, Repullze said: “I think they’re just a little bit too easy. And maybe that’s just a top 0.01%, right, but I just don’t think that they give us that same dope as before.” Ebatez agreed, but said that “the stealing aspect is going to add a lot to that,” referencing the ability for players to ‘steal’ nuke contracts from players who have earned them. “When stealing comes, it’ll make things so much more difficult.” Obviously, the average player will likely disagree strongly with this, and won’t even be able to dream of earning a nuke, unless they get lucky with the steal mechanic. This will be of interest to the devs too, of course, as they may well find that nukes are too easy to get as well and consider some changes — though that seems unlikely right now.

Warzone pros claim nukes are “too easy to get” now ActivisionSome top Warzone streamers have claimed that the Champion’s Quest nukes are too easy to get in Urzikstan, especially since the requirements changed after being introduced to the new map.
