What we learned from week one of the CWL Pro League \u2013 ft. OpTic, Luminosity, and more Week one of the 2019 Call of Duty World League\u2019s Pro League came to a close on February 7, wrapping up what was an intense week of competitive action. Over the course of four days, 14 total matches were played involving the eight Division A teams, and a lot was revealed about the nature of these squads going into week two. Of course the season is still yet very young and there are still several weeks of matches to be played before any final conclusions can be reached, but it\u2019s never too early to start forecasting the directions that certain teams are headed. That being said, here are some of the major storylines we\u2019ve picked up on from week one of the Pro League. Midnight are insane! When Midnight Esports shocked the competitive CoD scene by going 6-0 at the CWL Pro League Qualifiers, many were still hesitant to jump on the bandwagon. Now, Midnight have more than proved that the PLQ was no fluke as they cruised to a stellar 4-0 record and currently sit atop Division A. Their 12-2 map record goes to show how one sided their matches have been, none more so than their 3-0 shellacking of OpTic Gaming on day one. OpTic have regained\u2026 and then some After OpTic Gaming suffered that 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Midnight, some were questioning how well the team could perform with substitute ZooMaa filling in for their absent star man Dashy. OpTic have pretty much put that debate to rest, ripping off three straight victories to finish the week with a 3-1 record, good for third in the division. After some in-game role adjustments, the team is back to motoring like a well oiled machine, and they\u2019ll only get stronger once the CWL Vegas MVP makes his way back into the lineup. Luminosity are in shambles While there\u2019s no doubting that Midnight are the biggest story of the Pro League so far, Luminosity Gaming\u2019s incredible struggles have to be a close second. Despite being many fans\u2019 pick as a surefire playoff team, LG\u2019s failed to win any of their three week one matches, losing to Team Reciprocity, UYU, and Red Reserve by a combined 4-9 map count. While they still have plenty of time to turn things around, they\u2019d better start doing so now, because three of their next four matches come against the top three teams in Division A.
