Call of Duty dev responds GameInformer\/Infinity WardInfinity Ward\u2019s Senior Communications Manager, Ashton Williams, has responded to fan requests for a field of view slider in Modern Warfare, following the release of the 2v2 Gunfight Alpha on August 22. The Gunfight Alpha dropped slightly earlier than its scheduled August 23 release date. It gives the majority of players their first chance to get their hands on one part of Infinity Ward\u2019s latest installment in the Call of Duty series. As is customary with an early build of the game, a Fortnite players desperate for one added. While PC players have the option in CoD, console players have long been craving its addition. Reddit user \u2018xxihostile\u2019 made the enquiry on August 22, stating: \u201cI\u2019m begging you guys, can you add aim down sight sensitivity and FOV slider on console\u201d. They also say that both features help their ability to game given their disability. Ashton Williams, community manager at Infinity Ward, replied on August 22. \u201cWe can look into an ADS slider but no promises,\u201d she replied. \u201cI know FOV slider on console is a huge point of conversation, but we won\u2019t be having one this game.\u201d ADS sensitivity option would allow players to determine how responsive their game is to movement while they are aiming down sights with a weapon, something Williams states is a possibility. However, the news about no FOV slider is definite, and advocates of one on console will be left disappointed for another year. One Reddit user sarcastically responded: \u201cGreat. So PC players get even more advantage now. Cool. Why can\u2019t we just have the option?\u201d Given Modern Warfare will feature crossplay, it appears to be another advantage for PC players. Others pointed out that it\u2019s likely due to console being worse at handling higher frame rates, as well as stuttering issues. While the news definitely disappointed some CoD fans, we can expect to see a number of issues ironed out over the course of the Alpha.
