While most Pokémon fans are eager to explore the new ‘Galar’ region in Sword and Shield which comes out on November 15, two talented cosplayers took a look back at one of the most iconic villain groups in the series – Team Rocket. The nefarious duo were a staple in the first generations of the RPG, with Jessie and James becoming the face of the criminal organization in the wildly popular anime. Cosplayer ‘resuri_ackerman‘ posted their costume they created with their partner on Instagram, which is a perfect recreation of the wicked duo from the popular Nintendo franchise. The two channeled the pesky villains in their pose, with Jessie’s red flowing hair, and James smelling a rose – which was an iconic trait of the character’s entrance in the anime. The talented cosplayer also shared a second photo of the pair recreating another of Team Rocket’s popular poses, as both of the villains held their branded fans out, while James kneeled on the floor. Not only did they nail the spirit of the Pokémon characters, they also faithfully made the villains’ costumes with their iconic tops that have the red letter R emblazoned on the front, with the black undershirt below. It wouldn’t be entirely Team Rocket if they didn’t include the full trio, which included the talking cat Pokémon Meowth who served as a sidekick to the antagonists. Resuri_ackerman posed as Jessie with the talking Pokémon, making it for the complete recreation of nefarious trio. The cosplayer duo are from Germany, with the Resuri’s account gaining popularity and building up over 13,000 followers with their incredibly accurate cosplays from anime and games. While Team Rocket are not the villains of the latest generation of Pokémon, they made their latest appearance in the 2018 Switch release Let’s Go Pikachu – a recreation of Yellow which came out in 1998.

Prepare for trouble with duo’s amazing Jessie & James Pokémon cosplay A talented cosplay duo Pokémon‘s villainous duo Jessie & James from Team Rocket to life, and will have you seeing double the trouble!
