The artist’s faithful depiction of the housemaid will have fans in awe. Based on a popular novel series that was released in 2012, Re:Zero’s anime adaptation was a massive hit with viewers when it debuted four years later. Its plot about Natsuki Subaru being whisked away to a fantasy land connected with millions. A talented artist shared her jaw-dropping take on the show’s popular character Rem. Her side-by-side re-creation of the blue-haired maiden is so perfect, it’s almost if the heroine has jumped from out of the screen and into real life. Cosplayer transforms into Re:Zero’s Rem In the story, viewers are introduced to the twin sisters Rem & Ram. The identical siblings are house servants at the Roswaal Mansion, which the protagonist ends up working at upon being taken to the Kingdom of Lugnica. Cosplayer Lissa ‘melissa_lissova’ teamed up with photographer ‘tosuesan’ to bring the R:Z character to reality. Posing outdoors, the up close shot gives a glimpse into the amount of work that went into capturing the character’s look. The talented artist perfectly depicted Rem’s signature style by creating her iconic short blue hair, which has bangs covering her right eye. She even got the little details like her black decorated maid headband and pink flower piece. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-cE24KFHRd/ Lissa posted more photos of her costume on social media, and even did a side-by-side shot comparison to her work and a figurine of the heroine. She looks so much like her that it has us seeing double. The cosplayer meticulously mimicked the character’s servant outfit which consists of a frilly white neck and shoulder line, as well as black sleeves and a chest bowtie. Her faithful take is one of the best we’ve seen of Rem to date. https://www.instagram.com/p/B5IEp0bldLy/ As if that wasn’t impressive enough, Lissa also created a video while acting as the Re:Zero housemaid. Re-creating her movements from the show, the artist does a curtsy in her servant-uniform. The Instagram post went viral, and at the time of writing has over 70,000 views. https://www.instagram.com/p/B0QediNlx77/ After close to four years of waiting, Re:Zero’s second season was unfortunately delayed due to current events around the world. While missing its April date, the new batch of episodes looks to be coming out in July. Those wanting to catch up in time can watch the entire series on streaming services Crunchyroll and Funimation. Although a bit of advice for newcomers, prepare to have a strong stomach, as the show’s brutal story is packed full of emotions.

Re:Zero cosplayer’s incredible Rem outfit takes fans to another world White Fox / Instagram: @melissa_lissovaTo celebrate Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World’s upcoming second season, a cosplayer brought Rem to life with her insanely accurate costume.
