The exact skin is a one-of-one, and is estimated to be worth around $1 million, if put up for sale. Skins in CS2 come in countless variations, based on the weapon type, pattern, float (wear) and more. In particular, Case Hardened skins come in a rare type called Blue Gem – where the majority of the weapon is covered in a shiny blue patina. These are often the rarest and most expensive items in the game. For example, the owner of a rare Blue Gem knife was offered over $1.5 million to sell it – and turned it down. Now, an equally rare Blue Gem has been found, this time for the AK-47, CS2’s best and most popular weapon, and as it’s also a one-of-one, has an insane valuation. Despite the Case Hardened AK-47 skin being added to CS:GO back in 2013, no one had ever unboxed or crafted a StatTrak, Factory New, 661 pattern version. Although multiple StatTrack 661 Pattern AK’s exist in ‘Minimal Wear’ condition, the ‘Factory New’ Version had never been found. Then, suddenly, on June 15, a new skin appeared on the database of Chinese trading site Buff, finally confirming the existence of the almost mythical AK-47 Case Hardened StatTrak Factory New 661 pattern. Popular Twitch streamer ohnePixel posted about the discovery on X/Twitter, estimating the value of the skin, if the owner were to sell, at between $800,000 and $1 million. However, given the hype surrounding the item, there’s no reason to say it couldn’t even eclipse that figure. Despite this sky-high price, it still would not be the most valuable skin in Counter-Strike, a crown still firmly worn by the 387 Pattern Karambit Case Hardened, with its estimated value of over $1.5 million. It’s also currently unclear who owns the skin, and it may be held in a private inventory. The weapon has no stickers applied either, which can greatly influence the value. For example, a Minimal Wear version of the StatTrak 661 set a new record for a public sale at over $400,000 in 2022.

CS2 skin worth around $1 million finally discovered after 10 years: AK-47 Blue Gem ValveAn ultra-rare, never-before-seen AK-47 Case Hardened skin in Counter-Strike has finally been discovered, after over 10 years of never being in existence.
