RpK to step down from Team Vitality CSGO roster after BLAST Premier Showdown ESLFrench Counter-Strike: Global Offensive star C\u00e9dric \u2018RpK\u2019 Guipouy has announced that he will be stepping down from his role on the Team Vitality roster following the BLAST Premier Showdown. The 31-year-old player has been competing since 2007, but on April 12, 2021, revealed that he will be stepping back from the active roster and taking a break from competing. Team Vitality coach R\u00e9my \u2018XTQZZZ\u2019 Quoniam made a statement about RpK\u2019s decision to take a step back from competing, saying that the team \u201cneeds to find a new pace\u201d following the difficulties they have faced. He adds that it\u2019s never easy to let a \u201clegendary player\u201d like RpK go, but they\u2019ll \u201csupport him in what\u2019s yet to come.\u201d RpK added in his own tweet that he will be \u201ctaking some time off to think about what he\u2019ll be doing in the future.\u201d It is not clear whether this means staying on competing in CSGO, be it down the line with Vitality or with another team, or moving on from his professional career. Unfortunately, Blast Premier Showdown will be my last tournament with the team.
