Since that time Bungie has looked to rectify this, introducing new changes to the mode, bringing it more in line with the quality of their PvE experiences. This includes putting Artifice Armor into the reward pool for ranked play, trying out new game modes, and more. Bungie often does this through Crucible Labs, which is essentially the developers testing grounds for new modes.
