Here’s everything we know, including the Destiny 2 Season 19 release time. Destiny 2‘s Witch Queen expansion kicked off another year of content, and while players had been loving the new subclass abilities, Season of Plunder has started to see dwindling player numbers. Thankfully, Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph has made a strong first impression, bringing Guardians back into contact with Rasputin, the powerful AI Warmind that’s sometimes friend, and sometimes foe. There’s a lot of of pressure on Bungie to get Destiny 2 Season 19 right — especially since it’ll lead into the next major expansion, Lightfall. Here’s everything we know about Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph, also known as Destiny 2 Season 19. Contents Start Date – Content – New weapons and gear – Economy changes – Deep Stone Crypt crafting – Story and Characters – Price – Destiny 2 Season 19 release date & start time Destiny 2 Season 19’s release date is December 6, 2022. It’ll begin at weekly reset (5 PM BST/10 AM PT/1 PM ET), and it’s bringing a whole new Season Pass and Seasonal Artefact. Season 19 will end on February 28, 2023 — the day Lightfall arrives (alongside Season 20). Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph content New Dungeon While Season of Plunder added the King’s Fall Raid, Season 19 will introduce another new dungeon for Guardians to tackle. According to Bungie’s Season of the Seraph site, it’ll be tied to a weapon called Revision Zero. We don’t yet know what will be included in the Dungeon, but it’s safe to say it’ll be a challenge and offer its own Triumph Seal to earn. For context, the Duality dungeon was added as part of Season of the Haunted, and arrived just days after the new season began. Bungie will repeat the trick, too, with the Season 19 dungeon arriving at 5 PM GMT/10 AM PT/1 PM ET on December 9, as revealed on a recent TWAB blog post. Crucible As revealed in a blog post, the Crucible, Destiny 2’s PvP hub, will finally get a major overhaul that will begin in Season of the Seraph. Here’s what’ll happen: A new Crucible Seal, Glorious, will be added. – Control and Clash will be moved into a single Quickplay playlist. – Weekly rotations will change as many of the modes are less popular than others. – Lord Shaxx will offer engram focusing as Saint-14 does. More focusing options will arrive with Lightfall. – As for maps, Bungie has confirmed that more are coming, with two previously vaulted maps coming, and a brand new one, too. As yet, there’s no ETA on when these will arrive. Iron Banner will rotate to a new mode in Destiny 2 Season 19 and offer fresh rewards. This time around, the mode will be called Fortress, where players capture and hold zones as they would in Control. The difference is that there’s a Cabal-flavored twist which Bungie is keeping under wraps. Iron Banner will return on January 3, 2023. Bungie will also continue fine-tuning the Crucible’s skill-based matchmaking that was introduced in Season of Plunder, as confirmed by Bungie. Ability Changes Nothing in Destiny 2 stays the same for very long, and Bungie is changing the game’s core abilities. Arc, Solar, Stasis, and Void are all getting another look, with a series of buffs and nerfs (although thankfully, more of the former). Find out more with our rundown. Destiny 2 Season 19 weapons and gear One of the biggest surprises is the addition of a new Destiny 2 x Assassin’s Creed set of crossover cosmetics. Players can expect a new exotic weapon tied to the season pass, as well as a new Ritual Weapon with Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit ornaments. The following weapons will be removed or added to the loot pool in Season 19, Bungie has revealed: Iron Banner: Arriving – Dark Decider Auto Rifle – Gunnora’s Axe Shotgun – Leaving – Forge’s Pledge Pulse Rifle – Riiswalker Shotgun – Trials of Osiris Arriving – Exalted Truth Hand Cannon – Unwavering Duty Machine Gun – Leaving – Aisha’s Embrace Scout Rifle – Reed’s Regret Linear Fusion Rifle – Nightfall Arriving – Wendigo GL3 Grenade Launcher (Heavy) – Hung Jury SR4 Scout Rifle – Leaving – Silicon Neuroma Sniper Rifle – Duty Bound Auto Rifle – Players can expect the return of the Iron Companion sets for Iron Banner, as seen below: Destiny 2 Season 19 economy changes A Bungie blog post revealed that, after being part of the franchise since its inception, destination materials will be removed from Destiny 2. That means the following will no longer be available to obtain as of Season 19: Dusklight Shards – Microphasic Datalattice – Helium Filaments – Baryon Boughs – Spinmetal Leaves – Glacial Starwort – As of Season 19, Rahool will offer 5,000 Glimmer per stack of 20 destination materials, or 250 for each individual material. Rahool will also have fresh exchange rates for Enhancement Prisms and Ascendant Shards. To increase the number of Glimmer you can earn, public events will now offer between 3399 and 3645 Glimmer for completion, while Heroic ones will offer 10K to 12.5K. Players can also expect changes for Devrim and Failsafe on the EDZ and Nessus, respectively. Deep Stone Crypt crafting In a blog post, Bungie confirmed that Season 19 will allow for crafting of Deep Stone Crypt weapons. The raid, introduced in Beyond Light, will now have a chance to drop a Deepsight version of one of the weapons with each encounter. “Each encounter has a chance to drop a Deepsight version of a raid weapon, and players may purchase one per week from the final chest after defeating Taniks,” Bungie said. “When Deep Stone Crypt is the featured raid of the week, encounter drops are uncapped! This means you can run a full raid and each encounter multiple times hunting for Deepsight drops.” Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph story Bungie’s latest trailer for Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph confirms that Rasputin will be a big focal point of the new season. In it, a voice says “we must secure the Warsat Network before it’s too late. Rebuilding the Warmind is now our top priority”. Destiny 2 Season 19 price Season 19 will continue with the Season Pass model, meaning you can buy it for around £10/$12 per season. If you have Witch Queen’s Deluxe Edition, you’re already covered for season 19. That’s all we know about the Destiny 2 Season 19 release date.
