October 1 is a big day for Destiny 2 as it represents a move to Steam and a free-to-play version, along with the release of the major expansion Shadowkeep. The servers went down for a full day in preparation for the launch but it turns out that it wasn\u2019t long enough as players are running into numerous issues. Bungie announced they were taking the servers down on both Destiny 1 and 2 for emergency maintenance in an effort to find out the problems that are plaguing the two games. \u201cDestiny 1 and Destiny 2 are being taken offline for emergency maintenance,\u201d said Bungie in a tweet. Shadowkeep not only attracted veterans of the series but it also brought in a plethora of new fans with it.
