Diablo 4 Season 2 is in its winding down phase and it has been a massive success for the team at Blizzard. After a rocky first season, player confidence was largely restored thanks to some stellar inclusions in the second. The newly revealed Season of the Construct will be the game’s third content update and Diablo 4 players are waiting to see which way the coin will fall this time. During the incredibly popular Season 2, Blizzard received and responded to a bunch of feedback from players requesting that new features and mechanics from the season be implemented. While some pretty major changes courtesy of this feedback will be added during Diablo 4 season 3, there may be a long wait for others. In a recent interview with GamesRadar+, Game Designer Nathan Scott revealed that we may not see many player-requested improvements for another season, or two. “Season 3 is out the door, so we can’t really take Season 2 into Season 3. But we can take it into what we’re developing now and what we’re developing further in the future,” Scott explained to the team at GamesRadar+. “We’re just now looking at the things we did well and want to keep doing, and we’re just now looking at things we didn’t do so well and we don’t want to keep doing,” he continued. Lead Game Producer Timothy Ismay clarified that certain player feedback has made its way into Diablo 4’s third season. “We have actually made a number of changes in Season 3 based on things we saw in Season 2, but there are limits. At a certain cutoff point it’s like, ‘We got to start putting that into Season 4 now. Or, if it’s really big, maybe even in Season 5’,” Ismay elaborated. We do know that Season 3 of Diablo 4 has made some changes to the frequency of Helltides based on the positive reception to Season 2’s Blood Harvest events. The game is also adding WASD controls to the PC version which was a heavily requested feature. “Even if you don’t see it this season, that doesn’t mean we’re not working on it. We are still looking at feedback we got in Season 2 and there’s some big, exciting stuff that’s going to show up in Season 4 that is directly influenced by things people sent in Season 2,” Ismay revealed. Minus a few missteps, the Diablo 4 development team has been steadily evolving the game in a positive manner based on the input of players. Based on this info from the dev team, that looks set to continue.

Diablo 4 devs warn Season 2 feedback may not be added for months Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 Season 3 is so close but some of the player-requested continuations from Season 2 won’t reach the game until Season 4 or even 5 according to developers.
