Unfortunately for Blizzard, the new event has brought up some old controversy. Players have been less than impressed with some miscommunication from the developer about which of Diablo 4\u2019s Lunar Awakening cosmetics are paid. The recent drama caused players to have a closer look at the in-game store and they weren\u2019t happy about what they saw. Reddit user u\/Mwatki20 called out a pack of reskins for Diablo 4\u2019s travel portals in a post to the game\u2019s community. They had initially caused a stir when announced but players are incredulous at the cost. Despite u\/Mwatki20 classifying the Portal pack as a $20 microtransaction, many players were quick to point out that it\u2019s worse than that. \u201cIt\u2019s not $20 it\u2019s $29.99,\u201d one user clarified. \u201cjust because they give you 1000 of their magical currency doesn\u2019t exclude that you swiped $30.\u201d One player went as far as to call the pricepoint \u201cinsulting\u201d while another pointed out that you could purchase one of the most popular games of all time for the same amount. \u201cYou can get Palworld for this price\u2026just sayin\u2019\u2026\u201d It\u2019s not just the price that has Diablo 4 players concerned. The Portal skins themselves are locked to particular classes. Class-specific cosmetics in the game recently had players hitting out at the Lunar Awakening event. \u201cI\u2019d actually have probably bought those if they weren\u2019t class-locked so I could switch between them from time to time. But like this? Nah,\u201d one user wrote. \u201cI agree. I totally would have bought it had they not been class-locked,\u201d another replied. Diablo 4\u2019s in-game store had been a major concern for players prior to the game\u2019s release with fears that it could impact the health of the game.
