There’s been a laundry list of complaints from Diablo 4 fans since Season 3 began. Players have been unhappy with multiple aspects of the new season — from gripes with the quality of loot to problems with boss mechanics. Still, Blizzard has soldiered on through the criticism, rolling out patches to address issues and try and quell player’s ire. Yet it seems as if each new patch arrives with a wave of fresh new concerns from fans about the game’s quality and content. Patch 1.3.2 dropped this week, bringing with it some controversy surrounding the cost of the game’s cosmetic items. In particular, the Vitreous Scourge mount priced at $64.99 USD. “No. Jesus Christ. I enjoy D4 and this mount looks cool. But $65 USD is insane,” said one user in the Twitter thread discussing the bundle’s price. Fans across social media were unimpressed with the bundle’s price point. With players discussing their thoughts on both Twitter and Reddit. One Twitter user opted for sarcasm: “It’s called Diablo 4 because every item is priced at 4 times its normal value.” “These are macro transactions. Paying the cost of base game for a mount lol. Why people still support Blizzard is crazy, let them continue to implode,” said a user on Reddit. One user explained they like using other games “as a unit of measurement to put these ridiculous prices into perspective.” They then pointed out the mount costs more than recent Game of the Year, Baldur’s Gate 3. Although some users were quick to defend the bundle’s value. Pointing out that 7,000 in-game currency would usually cost more than the bundle’s price. It isn’t the first time Blizzard has come under fire from fans unhappy with the prevalence and cost of microtransactions. Players also expressed unhappiness with the cost of portal recolors. But, despite many fans feeling the prices are unreasonable, there will always be those willing to pay it.

Diablo 4’s new mount bundle costs more than the game itself BlizzardDiablo 4 fans have taken Blizzard to task on social media, complaining about the new Vitreous Scourge bundle, calling the cost “insane” and “unreasonable”.
