At the time of writing, July 15, the prize pool for The International 9 stands at $28,922,369 according to the Dota 2 Prize Pool Tracker website. It\u2019s already surpassed the previous record from The International 8, which was set at just a touch over $25.5 million. Of course, the current number of nearly $29 million puts its just over $1 million short of the Fortnite World Cup, which closes off with its finals on July 26 \u2013 just around four weeks before crowdfunding for The International wraps up.
