That was the case for Instagram user Alex Tan, who in March uploaded a video of the remains of a bizarre creature he\u2019d found washed up on Maroochydore Beach in Australia during his morning walk. \u201cI\u2019ve stumbled across something weird,\u201d he said in the clip. \u201cThis is like one of those things you see when people claim they\u2019ve found aliens.\u201d \u201cGenuinely keen to figure out what creature little buddy is,\u201d he added in the caption. View this post on Instagram Commenters were baffled by the strange-looking creature that he reportedly found not long after flooding in the area, and quickly started tagging people they thought could help identify the mysterious \u201calien-like\u201d animal. \u201cThe search for what this \u201clittle buddy\u201d continues and has gone international,\u201d Alex wrote on Instagram. \u201cTHE PEOPLE NEED ANSWERS. I\u2019m still guessing it\u2019s a possum \u2014 my bet of a chicken parmi for any expert that can prove me wrong still stands.\u201d In the caption of a later video, Alex revealed that expert suggestions had included, \u201cbrushtail possum, wallaby,\u201d and a \u201ctree kangaroo,\u201d but so far, it seems that no one can settle on a 100% conclusive answer.
