Asmongold opens up on his battle with Twitch anxiety: \u201cI just feel like a loser\u201d Twitch: AsmongoldAsmongold may be taking another break from Twitch very soon, with the popular streamer opening up on his ongoing struggles with \u201cperformance stress\u201d and major anxiety from broadcasting over the past eight years. The Twitch star has been streaming since 2014. In that time he\u2019s grown his modest World of Warcraft audience into one of the biggest on the Amazon-owned platform. Right now, Asmongold boasts a massive two million Twitch followers, and has raked in 12.3k subscribers in June. Across his eight years, the streamer has inked his name into the Twitch history books plenty of times too. When WoW Classic first launched in 2019 the 30-year-old helped the category crack one million viewers, and cracked personal records when he first hit level 60 on the same remastered title. It\u2019s clear the popular star has enjoyed plenty of success on Twitch. Beneath the surface, however, Asmongold admits he\u2019s \u201cstruggling with really bad anxiety.\u201d The problem, Asmongold explained during a June 14 stream on his \u2018zackrawrr\u2019 account, has been something that has plagued him since he was young. It\u2019s \u201cnot exactly depression,\u201d he said, but he gets \u201coverwhelmed\u201d with performance anxiety. \u201cIt gets in my head, and I can\u2019t really deal with it. I\u2019ve tried to do other things [instead of playing World of Warcraft] on my stream, and when things happen I don\u2019t expect I just shut down completely,\u201d the streamer revealed. \u201cI have horrible performance anxiety. \u201cI can\u2019t even pretend [to be okay] either, when it happens, and it does really make me feel like complete shit, right? I\u2019m not really\u2026 it makes me feel like a loser. (Trigger warning: suicide). \u201cThat\u2019s really what it is. I sit there, and I\u2019m thinking \u2018everyone else can do this properly,\u2019 and then I just can\u2019t. It makes me feel like I\u2019m a failure, in a way. I just can\u2019t deal with it. I just can\u2019t f**king deal with it. Honestly, looking back at footage [and seeing his reactions] makes me want to kill myself. It\u2019s really bad.\u201d He added: \u201cStreaming puts a huge amount of stress on me.\u201d Twice recently Asmongold has taken extended breaks from streaming in a bid to \u201cmanage\u201d his issues, and the streamer admits there\u2019s every likelihood he\u2019ll have to take more time off in the future too, as his anxiety problems continue. \u201cIt\u2019s why I have to take breaks,\u201d he said. He repeated, \u201cIt\u2019s why I have to take breaks. I don\u2019t want to be in that mindset. It\u2019s really bad, because I\u2019m just so\u2026 the word isn\u2019t depressed. I\u2019m just disappointed in myself. I try so hard to get over it, and I can\u2019t. There\u2019s lots of different methods I try, and nothing works. I think it\u2019s disgusting, and I\u2019ve always been like this. Asmongold confirmed he\u2019s planning another hiatus: \u201cI spend a lot of time trying to be another person. It\u2019s all so exhausting.
