While it\u2019s certainly concerning for a streaming giant to lose so much of its talent pool, Asmongold believes that the recent poachings mean very little when it comes to \u201ckilling\u201d Twitch. In fact, the popular content creator believes that the current Twitch vs YouTube debate is ridiculous. Asmongold on the YouTube vs Twitch debate During his recent stream, Asmongold gave his opinion on the YouTube killing Twitch debate. His opinion on the matter comes after 100 Thieves\u2019 Fuslie quit Twitch for an exclusive YouTube Gaming deal. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot of people moving over to YouTube. I mean YouTube is better. Well, if YouTube is so much better, then why is the only time people move over whenever they get paid,\u201d said Asmongold. It\u2019s certainly a strong incentive for many streamers, particularly when so much money is on the table. There\u2019s also the freedom to produce content that isn\u2019t always live \u2013 an area that many streamers often get burnt out over. However, Asmongold was keen to highlight that he doesn\u2019t believe YouTube currently has what it takes to topple Twitch. \u201cI\u2019m sorry but I don\u2019t really find it to be a compelling argument that YouTube is killing Twitch whenever the only time that people move to YouTube, is if they get banned from Twitch or paid a lot of money,\u201d explained the streamer. \u201cThe moment that YouTube will actually be killing Twitch, is when people move over to YouTube on their own\u2026The moment people make the switch without money being involved, that is when YouTube will really be killing Twitch.\u201d So far, CouRage, Valkyrae, Ludwig, Sykkuno, LilyPichu, and more have made the jump to YouTube Gaming.
