Rexha, who has recently faced backlash for her weight gain, was feeling that pressure from not only fans, but her boyfriend as well. Safyari recommended a therapist for Rexha amid weight gain After she gained 35 pounds, Rexha\u2019s now ex-boyfriend, sent her a lengthy text explaining why her weight gain has had an influence on their relationship and also commented on what she should do to fix it. Safyari even went as far as saying Rexha\u2019s face changed, saying, \u201cBut I always said I would be honest with you and your face was changing so I told you it was.\u201d Continuing, \u201cWould you rather I lied to you?\u201d He went on to say, \u201cYou gained 35 pounds obviously you gained weight and your face changes? Should I just pretend it didn\u2019t happen and that it\u2019s ok?\u201d Though Rexha has broken up with Safyari, words cut deep, as she has already had to defend the change of her appearance after performing in front of fans, taking to Instagram to say, \u201cI know I\u2019ve gained weight. Humans go through fluctuations.\u201d Rexha has opened up about the changing of her appearance, saying \u201cNot gonna lie it does suck and bother me when I read some comments but it comes with the territory.\u201d After the breakup, she mentioned that she needed a therapist or a retreat to \u201cget to the root of the problem,\u201d as she knew it was time to put herself first.
