The singer-songwriter, who is a member of the mega-popular pop band BTS, likes to give regular updates to the group\u2019s fanbase using Twitter, but not many would have been expecting him to drop a video of him playing Blizzard\u2019s team-based multiplayer game on October 31. However, that\u2019s exactly what he did and people just couldn\u2019t get enough of it. At the time of writing, the short clip \u2013 which only lasts 17 seconds \u2013 has been retweeted over 230,000 times, liked by over 650,000 accounts, and has racked up 2.3 million views. Those are numbers that many Twitch and Mixer streamers can only dream of, despite many of them playing Overwatch on a regular basis. Jungkook simply tweeted \u201cAfter a long time\u201d, along with a video of some of his scintillating gameplay using Widowmaker and her deadly Widow\u2019s Kiss sniper rifle. In just a matter of seconds, the K-Pop star tore through three opponents with some eye-catching quick scopes, leaving many of his fans suggesting esports organizations should consider securing his services in the future. While that might be a step too far based on just one clip, there\u2019s no doubt that if Jungkook \u2013 or another player of his ilk \u2013 could perform to a high level consistently, it would be a coup for any org to bring in somebody with such star quality. However, even if that is extremely unlikely to happen any time soon, that hasn\u2019t stopped people from imagining what it would be like to see him pitted against some of the very best. \u201cAll the professional gamers in the world, you\u2019re time is up because Jungkook is back in the game,\u201d one fan tweeted, with another suggesting that he should set up his own gaming channel on a streaming platform. The biggest nod, though, came from head coach of the Los Angeles Gladiator\u2019s \u2013 an esports team that competes in the Overwatch League. After being made aware of the clip on Twitter, David Pei responded with a simple message. \u201cHe\u2019s kinda insane actually,\u201d he tweeted. It seems highly unlikely that anything will come out of this, in terms of Jungkook playing Overwatch at a competitive level in the future, although that doesn\u2019t mean to say that he won\u2019t start streaming the game for fans to watch.
