However the man soon loses it after being told to stop recording. A man started filming inside a mall in Toronto to capture a commotion that had started inside one of the shops. “Oh, what’s going on here,” the man is heard saying as the video starts filming the entrance to a clothing shop. Inside the store, two customers are seen arguing with a group of security team and store staff members, which according to the man was about them shoplifting. After a while, security noticed that the man was filming and walked up to him to tell him to stop recording, which he did not like to hear. For the rest of the two-minute clip, the man behind the camera is heard shouting at both the security guards as well as the store workers, and the women who argued with the security team as they all went in turns to ask him to turn his camera off. “I can record, I can record,” he kept repeating the first time the security guards came up to try to stop him. “Don’t tell me not to record, I recorded.” Man loses it after being told to stop recording in mall He then told a shop worker, who had walked up to him, that he was recording the incident to the police. “You don’t tell me not to record,” he repeated while another security guard told people behind the man to leave and to stop watching the incident unfold. That security guard soon told the man to stop filming and move along, to which he repeatedly told her to “shut up.” All of a sudden, a group of security is walking out of the store while holding onto two young shoppers. The man tried to capture the shoppers and guards on the recording, but then turned to the shop worker to say: “Shut up! Telling me not to record. You think I don’t know the law? I know the law!” A new group of shoppers then walked out of the shop and walked up to stand in front of him to block the camera, which he didn’t like, and quickly told them to not touch him. He shouted: “It’s a public place, you don’t f**king touch my phone.” Hundreds of people commented on the video clip, with most of them saying the man tried to make it about him. One person wrote: “Dude was hilarious. Trying to be the main character. No one gave a shit about him and he was not having it. The store employee that stood in the way and kept giving a thumbs up was the best.” “This man is confusing private and public property,” a second person argued. According to Canadian law, it is allowed to take photos in a public place or record video on public property without any legal consequences.

Cameraman loses it after mall security says he can’t record shoplifters Angela Compagnone/UnsplashA man in Toronto has had his video shared across Reddit where he started filming an argument with shoppers and security.
