The pair had been coy about their relationship to start, but soon made it public knowledge on social media, becoming the first TikTok power-couple. There was bound to be drama though, after fellow TikTokker Josh Richards accused Hudson of trying to DM his girlfriend Nessa Barrett, and released a diss track all about it. The diss track sparked controversy, suggesting Chase had been cheating on Charli, but the two remained rather quiet about the whole situation, and Richards said he was \u201cdropping the beef.\u201d Charli\u2019s mom, Heidi, did speak out on the rumors though. But, on April 14, D\u2019Amelio posted to her Instagram story to confirm they had broken up, explaining that they had decided it was \u201cbest for both of us.\u201d \u201cI truly have so much love for Chase and wish nothing but the best for him,\u201d D\u2019Amelio said in her story. \u201cI\u2019m sorry I waited so long to tell you all. I wanted to take the time to process it for myself. Breakups are tough for everyone, so I\u2019d really rather not talk about it anymore.\u201d Shortly after Charli\u2019s post, Chase posted on his own Instagram too, to give his side. \u201cCharli is such an amazing person, and I am so beyond grateful and blessed to have spent the time I spent with her. We will always be friends and she will always hold a special place in my heart for the rest of my life,\u201d he said. He too asked for privacy as they \u201cstart this new chapter\u201d, and apologized that they waiting so long to tell their fans. It\u2019s clear that the ex-couple prepared and agreed what to say before sending out the joint statement on their accounts, as the message was almost identical in each. There are still many unanswered questions though, that will be burning in the minds of fans. Not least whether the allegations that Chase was unfaithful played any part in their breakup, but also how their relationship will now be in the Hype House together. Both Charli and Chase are two of the leading members of the Hype House, the collaborative content house full of TikTok stars. They have filmed countless TikToks together there, but it looks like there won\u2019t be any more for some time at least.
