In a new episode of the 2 Chix podcast, Charli addressed the comments she received on the day. \u201cI think it was better that I stayed off social media because I got a lot of hate on my birthday,\u201d she said. \u201cWhich kinda sucks, like it\u2019s my birthday, you know, it should be a fun day. I literally clicked on it so surprised and so ready to be like \u2018oh my goodness\u2019 and start replying to people and everything. And then it was like, \u2018no we actually hate you\u2019 and I was like \u2018okay that\u2019s enough phone time for today.\u201d Topic stars at -17:35 ( 1:12) However, Charli made sure that she stayed positive on her birthday, and didn\u2019t let the hate get to her too much. \u201cI was obviously with my friends. So, even they were like \u2018just don\u2019t be on your phone today, just don\u2019t do it.\u2019 It\u2019s not even worth it, it really wasn\u2019t. It was my birthday, that was my day to have fun and have a great day, and it was a day that was about me.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s literally just trolls on Twitter so I can\u2019t really get upset about it or anything, because it wasn\u2019t for any reason, like I didn\u2019t do anything, it was just because people don\u2019t like to see other people having happiness go on in their life, I guess.
