Known for her v-tuber streams, CodeMiko has almost 2,000 people that regularly come by to hang out every time she goes live. On February 27, Miko was hit with a ban from the platform after using a shock collar on herself during a recent stream. CodeMiko hit with ban on Twitch Right after the ban, CodeMiko\u2019s Twitch channel disappeared. Instead, it just shows a message from the platform. \u201cThis channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch\u2019s Community Guidelines or Terms of Service,\u201d it reads. While Miko hasn\u2019t addressed the ban on Twitter, she did share with her community on Discord what exactly got her banned from the platform. \u201cIt\u2019s cuz of the shock collar,\u201d she said. The Twitch streamer did not specify how long the ban was for. During a recent stream, Miko and her community were playing games like \u2018you laugh you lose\u2019 where if the creator laughed at something, she had to shock herself. Twitch TOS reads: \u201cTwitch does not allow content that glorifies, promotes, or encourages self-harm. We also prohibit activities that may endanger your life, lead to physical harm, or encourage others to engage in physically harmful behavior.\u201d Twitch reverses CodeMiko\u2019s ban over shock collar stream Just a day later, Miko took to Twitter to update fans on the situation. In a celebratory post, Miko claimed that Twitch had reversed her ban and even removed the strike against her account. She also revealed that she\u2019d been initially banned for seven days, but is now free to start streaming on Twitch immediately. Luckily for Miko, the strike won\u2019t count against her and she can continue broadcasting as normal.
