With the rise of social media, Gen Z is an example of growing up in an online world that preys on insecurities and values youth and beauty above all. Internet users have begun to notice Gen Z’ers are fixated on preventing the natural process of aging to ensure a continuous youthful appearance, going so far as wanting to “unalive [themselves] in their 30s”.
