While the chain is a big favorite for some, one customer got the surprise of a lifetime when she received an email saying she\u2019d won an entire year\u2019s worth of free Chipotle. TikTok user Shae Williams couldn\u2019t believe her luck after getting the email \u2014 but her joy was short-lived. In a viral video, Williams showed off the email she\u2019d gotten in her inbox, which claimed she\u2019d \u201cyes, really\u201d won a free year of food. Woman receives year\u2019s worth of free Chipotle \u201cin error\u201d Unfortunately, the offer was rescinded shortly thereafter. Williams shared a screen recording of another email she got that said she\u2019d received the initial offer \u201cin error.\u201d \u201cYou may have received an email from us earlier today,\u201d the statement reads. \u201cUnfortunately, our service provider sent this in error.\u201d \u201cWe sincerely apologize for any disappointment, and are giving you a free entr\u00e9e to brighten your day,\u201d the statement continues. \u201cYour free reward has been dropped into your Rewards wallet. Thanks for being part of our community.\u201d Despite the consolation reward, Williams was left frustrated with the whole situation. \u201cI\u2019m screaming, crying, and throwing up right now,\u201d she captioned the video. \u201cChipotle, I need y\u2019all to BFFR,\u201d she said in the clip. \u201cWhy did I get this email saying that I won free Chipotle for a year, and then all of the sudden I get another email saying, \u2018Oh, no, that\u2019s okay, nevermind. We sent that in error.\u201d Viewers were quick to commiserate with her in the comments section. \u201cThey were grimy for that,\u201d one user wrote. \u201cUMMMM I HOPE THIS BLOWS UP AND YOU GET IT! That\u2019s bs!\u201d another said. Williams claims that the email felt like a low blow, as it appeared in her inbox the day after her birthday \u2014 making her think the initial message was actually a present from the company. Unfortunately, it doesn\u2019t look like the TikToker will be cashing in on a full year of free food, but at least the internet is on her side.
