Employees of a Dairy Queen in Kentucky were recently hospitalized after their manager forced them to drink a cleaning solution. The manager allegedly urged the employees to do so as punishment for not properly cleaning the ice cream machine. Parents of the affected employees have since spoken out, saying they are \u201clivid.\u201d DQ employees felt \u201cburning sensation\u201d in their stomachs If someone consumes just enough cleaning solution, they could die, as the chemicals are highly toxic. However, that was of no concern to the DQ manager. After eight DQ employees were called to a mandatory meeting, their manager forced them to eat chocolate ice cream mixed with a cleaning solution. The manager allegedly wanted the employees to taste what customers would have tasted, had they been served ice cream out of the machine that wasn\u2019t cleaned the right way. Though some employees were hospitalized due to a \u201cburning sensation\u201d in their stomachs, there have not been reports of permanent medical damage. When asked about details by WKYT, Angel Patton, mother of a 17-year-old DQ employee, told the news outlet she was \u201clivid\u201d when her daughter told her what happened. Patton continued, \u201cThey were told by the manager that whether or not they liked chocolate ice cream, they were going to eat it today.\u201d After the incident, Patton\u2019s daughter and multiple other employees quit their jobs at that specific DQ.
