Day9 hits huge milestone in streaming history Esports commentator and streamer Sean \u201cDay[9]\u201d Plott celebrated a major milestone with Twitch viewers as he marked a decade of streaming. Day[9] is well known to fans of StarCraft and DOTA 2 esports fans for his work as a commentator at various esports events including DOTA\u2019s The International 2017. During a stream on October 22 Day[9] started off happily greeted viewers by celebrating the 10-year mark. \u201cToday is the 10-year anniversary of Day[9]tv, 10 years!\u201d he exclaimed. \u201cIt\u2019s not nine years, so it\u2019s not the best for branding \u2013 but 10 years, holy sh*t that went fast.\u201d \u201c10 years ago today, for any of you who don\u2019t know, was the very first broadcast I ever did it was Day[9]daily,\u201d he explained. Day[9] was a high-level Zerg player in StarCraft: Brood War, but he said during school he was unable to keep his skills as high as they needed to be to compete at the top. \u201cBut you know I obviously loved watching Brood War, loved being engaged with and following the scene,\u201d he recalled. \u201cSo I was like \u2013 \u2018I know, I am just going to broadcast an analysis,\u201d \u2013 and this was actually two years before Twitch even existed.\u201d The streamer said he started on a little-known livestreaming site, evidence of which can be found in the below YouTube video from Day[9]\u2019s channel. Day[9]daily\u2019s first episode (even though in the video he says \u201csecond episode\u201d) was a look at a Brood War match between Lee \u201cFlash\u201d Young Ho and Jo \u201chero\u201d Il Jang. What\u2019s ahead for Day[9]? The streamer said on Twitter that even after close to 200 shows a year he was looking forward to the next 10 years of broadcasting. Day[9] also worked closely with Twitch while they were developing their subscriber program, which prompted Twitch\u2019s Marcus \u201cdjWHEAT\u201d Graham to call him \u201cA legend\u201d. A legend.
