The Doc is a lover of violence, speed, and momentum in his video games, but the streamer has long been complaining about a lack of options in terms of titles he can play while broadcasting, growing frustrated with battle royales like Fortnite, Apex Legends, and PUBG. On New Year’s Eve, the leader of the Champions Club finally decided to try his hand at Escape From Tarkov, a tactical first-person shooter which has caught the eye of fellow creators like Jaryd ‘Summit1g’ Lazar and Michael ‘shroud’ Grzesiek, and two years after claiming he would never play the title, Dr Disrespect has admitted that he’s become addicted to it just three days after hopping in for the first time. Following another successful stream on January 2, The Doc posted a tweet showing himself inside the game, complete with his legendary “prototype” sunglasses and his iconic moustache, featuring the simple caption: “I have a slight adiction.” I have a slight addiction… pic.twitter.com/ufuGzWRS7i — Dr Disrespect (@drdisrespect) January 3, 2020 As for why he’s so addicted, Dr Disrespect explained in detail why the game feels so different to anything else on the market, and how the elements and systems that provide the Tarkov experience are what has captured him in the few short days he’s been playing the game. “What’s surprised me is that there’s something very attractive about how I have these quests,” he explained to the Champions Club. “This whole dynamic of scavenging, having NPCs and player-controlled scavengers, and these intervals of which you enter and extract from a server. It’s that whole meta of the game, it’s very intriguing. That compliments the whole looting, valuing of objects, the detail of the guns and all that stuff. I like it. It’s unique.” Of course, Dr Disrespect isn’t the only streamer to have had a go at Escape From Tarkov recently, with Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel breaking into a classic rant when he found it difficult to kill an enemy in the game, claiming they were “invincible.” Expect to see plenty more of the game from The Doc though, with his addiction likely to grow even stronger as he continues to learn about the tactical FPS title.

Dr Disrespect explains why he’s already addicted to Escape from Tarkov Dr Disrespect may have just entered the intense world of Escape From Tarkov, but the streamer admits he is already addicted just days into playing it, explaining why he finds the game to be so intriguing.
