DrLupo saw his popularity skyrocket in 2018 as he became one of the main faces of Fortnite Battle Royale \u2013 the game that has taken the world by storm since its release in September of 2017. Now the 31-year-old is within the top 15 most followed streamers on Twitch with almost 2.5 million followers to his name as well as a million subscribers on YouTube. But with that many fans there will, of course, by some people that get a kick out of trolling or insulting him. The trolls he can deal with, he says, but there are some criticisms that get to him. \u201cSorry I let shit get to me sometimes. I\u2019m pretty sensitive, and I often times take things to heart when well spoken people state negative opinions about me or my channel,\u201d he said in a recent Twitter statement. \u201cIgnoring trolls is easy, don\u2019t worry. I mean real opinions.\u201d Getting ripped into gets old. I&#8217;ve said it before, and I&#8217;ll say it again \u2013 maybe I wasn&#8217;t meant for popularity. I dunno. I understand fully why people get burnt out. I&#8217;m fine though. Just need to get some sleep. \u2014 DrLupo (@DrLupoOnTwitch) September 28, 2018 He went on to explain that \u201cGetting ripped into gets old,\u201d and even said that he sometimes questions whether he is cut out for the life of a super-successful streamer: \u201cI\u2019ve said it before, and I\u2019ll say it again \u2013 maybe I wasn\u2019t meant for popularity.\u201d He concluded by saying that he understands \u201cwhy some people get burnt out,\u201d before saying that he\u2019s fine and will probably feel better after a good night\u2019s sleep. Streamer\u2019s getting \u201cburnt out\u201d is a common occurrence and one that many struggle with at one point or another, especially when dealing with constant criticism, but the response to DrLupo questioning whether he was meant for popularity was met with a resounding \u201cYOU ARE\u201d by the streaming and gaming community. TSM\u2019s Daequan, FaZe Clan\u2019s Nate Hill and Call of Duty pro James \u2018Replays\u2019 Crowder all weighed in on the subject, reminding DrLupo that he is \u201cinspiring\u201d and \u201cone of the most genuine people\u201d in the entire scene. You wouldn&#8217;t be where you are if you weren&#8217;t cut out for it brother! You got this. There will always be ppl who approve of you, and ppl who critique or disapprove.
