DrLupo teamed up with Florida-based gaming convention and charity event Guardian Con in late June, announcing his plans to hold a marathon stream to raise $1 million for St. Jude Children\u2019s Research Hospital, an organization founded to benefit children suffering from cancer and other terminal illnesses. Of course, it wasn\u2019t just any old stream: DrLupo also promised hilarious rewards for each goal met by his charity drive, as well as giving himself some extra, in-game challenges, and even holding an-off stream raffle. Understandably, the streamer had an emotional reaction to the amount raised, appearing to hold back tears while thanking his fanbase for donating to the organization. \u201cThank you,\u201d DrLupo said. \u201cThank you so much, to every single person that\u2019s donated. To every single person that\u2019s supported St. Jude. To every single person that\u2019s gonna be at Guardian Con. To every single person that freakin\u2019 loves gaming. And most importantly, from top to bottom, St. Jude.\u201d The streamer went on to thank viewers who weren\u2019t able to donate, ending his stream by joking that he would need to take a break to \u201ccry a little bit.\u201d DrLupo\u2019s insane charity stream was met with praise from other major personalities across the net, with the likes of YouTuber Se\u00e1n \u2018Jacksepticeye\u2019 McLoughlin and Fortnite pro Turner \u2018Tfue\u2019 Tenney offering him their congratulations. \u201cGoated,\u201d Tfue wrote in response to DrLupo\u2019s Tweet on the subject. \u201cAbsolutely mind blowing!\u201d Jacksepticeye replied. \u201cInsane,\u201d caster Jack \u2018CouRage\u2019 Dunlop said of the matter. \u201cLove ya, Ben.\u201d This wouldn\u2019t be the first time DrLupo has raised an incredible amount for St. Jude\u2019s, by far: in fact, the streamer managed to raise over $1 million for the organization in late 2018, after holding a 24-hour livestream in December.
