Recently, James Charles unveiled his long-awaited \u2018Sisters Apparel\u2019 clothing line which, among other things, included pastel, color-blocked hoodies that look remarkably similar to those offered by Ethan\u2019s wife, Hila Klein\u2019s, Teddy Fresh line. Whilst Ethan has clarified on Twitter that he doesn\u2019t claim to have \u201cinvented color-blocking\u201d, he does point out on Instagram that \u201cit\u2019s the exact colors in the exact spot on our most iconic item\u201d, with him posting a tongue-in-cheek TikTok about how James Charles\u2019 new hoodie \u201clooks familiar\u201d. In the explosive exchange, Charles admits that \u201cone of the color ways we\u2019re doing IS an exact copy of the purple tan pink and teal hoodies you guys have\u201d. He then goes on to suggest that whilst he didn\u2019t copy anything, \u201cthey [his team] certainly may have\u201d. https:\/\/twitter.com\/h3h3productions\/status\/1307370780796227584 However, when Ethan explains in the exchange that this hoodie design is \u201cthe hallmark of our brand\u201d and that he is \u201cspeechless\u201d it has been \u201cknocked off\u201d, Charles appears to go on the defense. He says that the Kleins don\u2019t \u201cown color block\u201d and that the main hoodie in the collection \u2013 which the beauty guru argues is inspired by own Nike hoodie \u2013 has a \u201cdifferent source of inspiration, [\u2026] color body\u201d and \u201ccolor pocket\u201d. He also claims that their different fanbase and brand means that there is \u201cno competition here\u201d, and argues that he has \u201cnever shopped on their website\u201d and so could not have possibly copied them. Justifying his reasoning for going public with this exchange, Ethan explains that he wanted a \u201csense of justice before he sells a billion of these\u201d, and that he wanted to provide evidence of Charles\u2019 admission of \u201cripping [them] off\u201d to all those who initially refuted his claims. https:\/\/twitter.com\/h3h3productions\/status\/1307372094376693760 Suggesting that he is unbothered by the leaked conversation, James simply Tweeted out a \u201cgood morning\u201d message to his followers, which Ethan then responded to with a screenshot of their conversation. This Tweet has since been deleted by Klein. When it comes to this latest drama, fans have had a range of responses.
