When trying to leave the parade after streaming from it for over an hour, Fanum was stopped by the police who approached him, guns drawn. Though he stayed calm during their approach, he expressed his confusion as to why they were approaching his vehicle with weapons in hand. \u201cHe\u2019s got his gun out, why does he have his gun out?!\u201d he questioned. A short time after, Fanum\u2019s stream abruptly ended. However, the story continued on both his and Ray\u2019s Snapchat. Fanum\u2019s driver, Walton, was arrested by police before the authorities drove off the streamer\u2019s Lamborghini Urus, leaving him to walk his way out of the parade. Video from both him and Ray show that the NYPD even had helicopters surveying the scene. Several hours after Fanum\u2019s Lamborghini was seized, images emerged of an NYPD officer posing for photos with the streamer\u2019s car. The caption read: \u201cDominican Day parade. They outside, we outside too.\u201d Kai Cenat would go on to reply to a post of the image, saying simply, \u201c[NYPD] F*** EM.\u201d Fanum himself hasn\u2019t responded to the images. On July 29, Fanum posted a statement about the situation to his Instagram stories, where he accused the police of \u201cjust wanting to drive a Lambo.\u201d \u201cYa decided to pull a gun on me and all them kids for what?\u201d he wrote. \u201cWe had a permit to be in the parade. Then after NYPD carjacks me on stream, they pose up with my vehicle like a photoshoot. \u201cThem suits on the way. I got a bag and time. Let\u2019s do it.\u201d This isn\u2019t the first time someone from the AMP crew has gotten in trouble with the police, as Kai Cenat\u2019s NYC stream in 2023 made headlines for shutting down entire blocks in New York City. Kai didn\u2019t have to stand trial for it but was fined $55,000 and apologized for the incident. No legal action beyond the fine was pursued by the NYPD. The AMP crew has been, however, kicked out of their penthouse in New York City. Fanum and friends will have to find another place to live if they want to keep streaming from New York.
