Update on October 2 at 3:00 pm PST After giving an appeal NymN revealed that his original 2-week ban has been reduced to just seven days. Update on my ban: I sent in an appeal and Twitch has agreed to the reduce the suspension to 7 calendar days. It is still a long time to be without my stream and I will miss it dearly, but it’s a lot better than 14 days! Original story as follows\u2026 Streamers from across the globe traveled to TwitchCon for the September 27 weekend to mingle with the fans who typically flood their channel\u2019s chat \u2013 but the conference\u2019s organizers had areas off-limits for recording, so streamers could find repose in the weekend\u2019s madness. Unfortunately, in a scramble to get across the convention\u2019s many areas, NymN found himself briefly recording in one of those restricted zones \u2013 which quickly got him into hot water with Twitch. During his October 2 stream, Forsen was in the beginning phases of his broadcast when he was made aware of NymN\u2019s ban. Since he hadn\u2019t seen TwitchCon streams, he was learning of the ban live. \u201cI didn\u2019t watch any TwitchCon, so I guess it\u2019s something from TwitchCon,\u201d Forsen surmised before his Chat told him how long the ban was for. \u201c\u2018Streaming 15 seconds in Partner Lounge\u2026\u2019 How long was it \u2013 2 weeks?!\u201d The streamer was instantly taken aback by the lengthy ban even after he had just explained that, \u201c15 seconds is not a lot. But it\u2019s like \u2013 show a d*** for three seconds it\u2019s over, in a 6-hour stream.\u201d Forsen later said that in his streaming career\u2019s many bans, he hadn\u2019t even received a 2-week suspension from Twitch. Then he learned that it was actually NymN\u2019s first ban, calling the punishment\u2019s duration \u201cweird\u201d and thought that previous warnings must have figured into the calculations. Although he also admitted that the 2-week suspension could have been NymN\u2019s \u201cRNG\u201d luck, depending on which of Twitch\u2019s ban moderators took his case. NymN is one of Twitch\u2019s more laid-back streamers who exploded in popularity for his Minecraft streams.
