H3H3\u2019s Ethan Klein explains why Tfue\u2019s FaZe contract is \u201cevil\u201d H3 Highlights, Tfue \/ YouTubePopular Fortnite Battle Royale pro Turner \u2018Tfue\u2019 Tenney has been the talk of the gaming community, after suing esports organization FaZe over his contract \u2013 an binding agreement that YouTuber and commentator Ethan Klein feels is \u201cdisgraceful.\u201d Klein discussed Tfue\u2019s contract drama during an episode of the H3 Podcast on May 24, where he called the agreement \u201cevil\u201d and \u201cpredatory,\u201d noting the 80\/20 and 50\/50 splits in favor of FaZe \u2013 as well as the clause that would prevent Tfue from competing for six months after termination. \u201cThat kind of clause has no place in a contract,\u201d Klein said of the matter. \u201cIn the real world, that would be so illegal, so wildly inappropriate. For them to even include this is shocking, it\u2019s appalling, it\u2019s a shame. It\u2019s a disgrace. It\u2019s an embarrassment.\u201d Klein went on to call for more regulation in the esports industry, arguing that the gamers involved in building up the enterprise are largely young, hungry, and \u201cvulnerable rising stars.\u201d This wouldn\u2019t be the first time Klein has spoken out on the issue, either; he even called for Tfue to release the contract himself, claiming that one of FaZe co-owner Ricky Banks\u2019 Tweets on the subject was a breach of NDA.
