Halsey is a hugely popular singer known for albums like \u2018Badlands\u2019 and \u2018If I Can\u2019t Have Love, I Want Power,\u2019 and like many other celebrities, they also have a significant following on TikTok, with 4.5 million followers. In a TikTok posted on May 22, Halsey posted a video to her account, in which she explained via captions: \u201cBasically, I have a song that I love that I wanna release ASAP, but my record label won\u2019t let me. I\u2019ve been in this industry for 8 years, and I\u2019ve sold over 165 million records, and my record company is saying that I can\u2019t release it unless they can fake a viral moment on TikTok. \u201cEverything is marketing. And they are doing this to basically every artist these days. I just wanna release music man. And I deserve better tbh. I\u2019m tired.\u201d Click here if TikTok doesn\u2019t load The video immediately caught fans\u2019 attention, with over a million likes at the time of writing, though one comment with nearly 50,000 likes suggested: \u201cThis is the viral marketing video\u2026\u201d Halsey responded shortly after, saying: \u201cBruh I wish it was haha. They just said I have to post TikTok they didn\u2019t specifically say \u201cabout what\u201d so here I am.\u201d Over on Twitter, the star continued to update fans on the situation, and said that despite their label having a positive reaction to the virality of her video, they still didn\u2019t confirm that they\u2019d be able to release it yet.
