Andrew Tate dominated the internet throughout Summer 2022 with his highly controversial views, particularly those regarding women. However, what became particularly worrying for many was the affect it was having on his young male viewers. Following on from calls for social media platforms to take action against Tate, he suddenly found himself being banned from Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Eventually, it lead to him backing down from the internet. Twitch star Hasan believes that despite his \u201cdumb\u201d views, Tate was able to \u201cvery successfully penetrate social media\u201d by sparking debates with his controversial views in a way \u201cwe\u2019ve never seen before.\u201d Hasan blown away by Andrew Tate\u2019s quick rise to fame On August 25, Hasan discussed Tate\u2019s deplatforming with his viewers. His fans were particularly worried about what Tate\u2019s \u201c15 minutes of fame\u201d said about \u201cyoung men.\u201d But, for Hasan, it\u2019s more to do with how Tate worked on social media. He argued: \u201c[It] doesn\u2019t stay anything about the state of young men. If anything it says the state of how you can use [\u2026] right wing narratives and really explosive commentary to blow the f**k up in our social media environment.\u201d Hasan added that Tate was able to \u201cblow up\u201d on the internet so quickly because he was \u201creinforcing pre-existing dynamics\u201d and subsequently appealed and \u2018captivated\u2019 young audiences with his \u201cdumb\u201d views.
