Haliey Welch, better known as the \u2018Hawk Tuah\u2019 girl, gained instant fame when her street interview with TikTokers \u2018TimandDeeTV\u2019 went viral in June. After fans began rallying behind her, she teamed up with Fatheads and sold signed hats with the phrase \u2018Hawk Tuah 24\u2019 on them \u2013 earning over $65K in sales. However, a video was posted to the Instagram account \u2018hay_welch\u2019 on July 3rd where she addressed fake merchandise being made and sold by people claiming to be associated with her. In the video, Haliey set a few things straight about her fame and then dug into the imposters. \u201cAnd by the way \u2013 there\u2019s one more thing that\u2019s really pissing me off!\u201d she exclaimed. \u201cAny of you selling or purchasing merchandise online, it\u2019s not from me.\u201d She continued, \u201cIt\u2019s not approved by me and it\u2019s counterfeit. And, I\u2019m not making a damn dime off any of it.\u201d She went on to say that she\u2019s hired an attorney and a manager, adding \u201cWe\u2019re coming for you b*tches!\u201d Not only that, she also revealed that she will be releasing official \u2018Hawk Tuah\u2019 merchandise through her own online store \u201cvery soon.\u201d Making fake merch hasn\u2019t been her only run-in with imposters since her viral fame. Hailey has also had to deal with fake social media accounts posing as her. She even noted in a podcast interview with Brianna Lapaglia on \u2018PlanBri\u2019 that the rumor going around online about her being fired from her teaching job was a lie, as she thought she was too young to be an educator and had never worked as a teacher.
