How to use TikTok Stories: New feature to rival Instagram TikTokTikTok has released its \u2018stories\u2019 feature that will allow users to upload images or clips that vanish after 24 hours, in a similar style to Snapchat and Instagram. While the concept of social media \u2018stories\u2019 was an idea made popular by the app Snapchat, countless platforms have gone on to integrate the idea into their own sites since then, such as Instagram, Facebook, and more. Even Twitter created their own version of stories called \u2018Fleets,\u2019 but the feature was eventually abandoned. Now, ByteDance-owned platform TikTok has implemented their own version of the feature, with TikTok Stories. They began testing the feature with select participants in 2021, but now it looks like they\u2019ve rolled it out much more widely across the platform, giving more users the opportunity to try out the feature. How to use TikTok Stories Now the feature is rolling out to more people, there\u2019s a higher chance that you\u2019ll have access to it, but if you find that you are still without the feature, you may have to wait a little longer before you\u2019re able to try it out. Launch TikTok. – Open the camera using the plus button at the bottom of the screen. – Ensure you have selected \u2018Quick\u2019 under the pink record button, then choose to either take a picture or film a video. – Once you\u2019ve added and filters or stickers you want to use, press the white \u2018Post to Story\u2019 button to add it to your story. – To view someone\u2019s story, go to their profile, and if their picture has a blue circle around it, you can tap it to view what they\u2019ve posted.
