At the start of February, though, he did show his hand a little, revealing that he was planning on returning to the ring at some point in 2022 and that he\u2019d already started considering opponents. Fast forward to March 25, and the YouTuber has confirmed that he\u2019ll be back in action in August against an, as of yet, unnamed opponent. Though, once again, he knows exactly what type of fighter he wants to take on. The 25-year-old has been teasing the idea of ditching boxing for MMA and taking on the \u2018Notorious\u2019 Conor McGregor, but he told TMZ he has ideas if that falls through. \u201cThere\u2019s a long list, you know,\u201d Jake said about his potential next opponent. \u201cWe\u2019re in talks with a couple of different people. We\u2019re toying around with the idea of going into MMA for the next fight, so, we\u2019re in negotiations. We\u2019re talking to a bunch of different people and seeing who makes the most sense.\u201d The YouTuber reiterated that there is a \u201clong list\u201d of people he wants to take on, but it\u2019s all still up in the air. \u201cIt depends on who is ready and who can sell the most amount of pay-per-views,\u201d he added. \u201cAs of yet, I haven\u2019t really fought someone with as big of a name as me, I\u2019ve really done all of the promotion, so I want to fight someone with as big of a name as me and that\u2019s what we\u2019re looking to do.\u201d Timestamp of 1:06 A few championship-caliber fighters \u2013 including Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Mairis Briedis \u2013 have already thrown their hat into the ring to fight Jake, with Briedis even offering up a shot at his IBF Cruiserweight title.
