When their long-awaited fight was canceled at the end of 2021, many fans thought they\u2019d never get to see Jake Paul and Tommy Fury square off inside the boxing ring. As Fury pulled out with injury, and Jake beat Tyron Woodley, the YouTuber-turned-boxer claimed he only had eyes for bigger things and that he\u2019d wait a while before fighting Tommy. Well, the pair were scheduled to clash at Madison Square Garden on August 6th, but Tommy has had some trouble getting into the United States. The fight has yet to be called off, but Jake has claimed he\u2019s \u201cmoving on\u201d and looking for another opponent. And, one former Olympian has been offered up as a possible alternative. As Jake tweeted out that he was moving on, Matchroom Boxing\u2019s rising star Cheavon Clark tweeted that his \u201cpassport was ready\u201d and indicated that he was willing to make the trip across the Atlantic. Eddie Hearn, who previously offered Jake the chance to fight Clark during the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano press scrums, reiterated that offer. \u201cJake Paul, 2-0 and ready!\u201d the boxing promoter tweeted, referencing Jake\u2019s willingness to fight someone with less than 10 fights. Plenty of fans quickly suggested it would be an easy night\u2019s work for Clark, but that he didn\u2019t match Jake\u2019s desire to take on someone with name value \u2013 even if he is a \u2018real boxer\u2019. Unlike some other supposed challengers, Clark does match up with Jake in the weight department, seeing as they\u2019re both in the Cruiserweight range. The 31-year-old has under 10 professional bouts, but he does have a storied amateur career. As noted, he competed at the 2020 Olympics, but didn\u2019t medal. However, he has had success at the Commonwealth Games and stacked European Championships.
