But despite being labeled a \u201cshambles of a situation\u201d by Conor McGregor, Jake opened up about the incident on Chael Sonnen\u2019s \u2018You\u2019re Welcome\u2019 podcast and admitted he didn\u2019t expect Floyd to get so mad about it. \u201cIt was sort of a sensory overload with everything that was going on,\u201d he said. \u201cThere were eight guys around me, all grabbing me [and] some hitting me in the leg. I\u2019m holding onto his hat for dear life. That was the main thing that they were concerned about.\u201d By the time they finally managed to get the hat, Floyd was furious. \u201cHe just comes running at me, and he\u2019s throwing punches over the security guard, and I\u2019m literally just like, \u2018oh wow, this is crazy.\u2019\u201d \u201cBut the funny thing about it was none of the punches were even coming close to me at that point, and he actually punched his own security guard in the side of the head.
