Charles is more than a social media influencer: the makeup mogul, who boasts a whopping 16 million YouTube subscribers, is also hugely popular in the real world, and even caused a traffic gridlock in Birmingham, UK due to a meet and greet event. However, even famous personalities aren\u2019t exempt from the odd negative confrontation, as Charles unfortunately experienced in an unsafe encounter in late February. In a shocking Tweet, Charles claimed that he and his employees had been \u201cthreatened\u201d with physical violence by an Uber driver in Orlando, Florida, who purportedly verbally abused the group with various expletive insults. \u201cHi!\u201d the YouTuber wrote, tagging both Uber and Uber Support\u2019s Twitter accounts. \u201cOne of your drivers in Orlando just called my employee and I dumb*sses, b**ches, and threatened to hit us. At the time of writing, Uber has reportedly taken steps to remedy the situation, as stated by a representative of the company via People Magazine. According to Uber\u2019s spokesperson, the company is \u201clooking into the matter\u201d and reminded People that they boast a \u201cclear non-discrimination policy,\u201d although it\u2019s unclear what exactly prompted the driver\u2019s outburst. Charles has yet to speak further on the matter, as well \u2014 but a quick look at Uber\u2019s guidelines shows that the driver broke several tenants of the business\u2019s policies, including its stance on \u201caggressive, confrontational, and harassing behavior,\u201d which they state is clearly \u201cnot allowed.\u201d This isn\u2019t the first time a YouTuber has been threatened with bodily harm by employees of newly emerging companies, either: in fact, MTV starlet Tana Mongeau claimed a gun was pulled on her by a Las Vegas Airbnb owner in January, although further information on the incident has yet to be revealed.
